"Our little family had an amazing vacation at Tortuga Bay. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well equipped, and the whole place is gorgeous. My hubby spent lots of time fishing off the dock and the gulf beach is only a ten minute walk away. The deck is huge with a cozy couch for reading and plenty of places to sit while you watch the sun set. We loved it so much we're thinking about coming back in the fall!"

"Nice quaint home nestled against the Gulf of America. Neighbors were great and welcoming. The waters are full of life which was great for fishing. If you’re used to having your home cooled below 74°, recommend you bring a portable fan, the thermostat is locked and can get toasty inside during the day. "

"We have rented Tortuga Bay several times and again we achieved much needed rest and relaxation. At the time of our rental, the surrounding area was quiet outside of the sound of seagulls and mullet jumping! The house was very clean and easy to access via keypad. Property grounds were well-maintained. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and visiting (reconnecting) with neighbors. We will be back in the Fall! "

The house is in a great location for fishing and the neighborhood is quiet with welcoming neighbors. The house is clean - we love the update to the bathroom, great shower space. It is always a bonus to take our two small dogs- love chasing lizards and sitting on the deck watching the birds. We will definitely be back in the Spring!"

"This winter stay at the TORTUGA BAY house at Fort Morgan was amazing. The home was just what we needed. Great location, very comfortable and pet friendly. This was our 1 extended stay south of the cold winters in Eastern Kentucky and we wanted to be able to take our Aussie/Doodle with us. He loved our stay there too. Close to the beach and lots of natural beauty. The local restaurants were amazing. Of all the restaurants that we visited we enjoyed the ORIGINAL OYSTER HOUSE the most. Great food, service and decor of the interior were upmost. We had to leave earlier than our originally planned but family issues at home take presidence over everything else. Thanks to SUNSET PROPERTIES for being so thorough in arranging our stay and being able to answer any questions we had before arriving and while we were there. I highly recommend these folks and this location for your stay of any length in this wonderful area. I must add- the locals really know how to put on a fireworks display ringing in the NEW YEAR. I can only imagine the display for the 4th of July when we celebrate our Nations Independence Day. Thanks again. "

"Loved staying at Tortuga Bay! It was a very lovely place and so peaceful in the bay. It was a nice change from the sandy beaches during the day. Close to the beach and two main restaurants with little traffic at this end. Recommend going to the Fort just to experience what it was like back in the day. Would book again. "

"We had such a wonderful time at Tortuga Bay & wished we had another day or two. First was the fishing which was so fun. The kids could throw a cast in, count to five & had a fish. They enjoyed the variety of types of fish. Second, we saw dolphins at the end of our inlet. Third, the beach was perfect. We chose to drive over with our gear & it was only 2 minutes away. Fourth, it was quiet & remote from the busyness. Fifth, the house was cute, clean & perfect for our family of four. It had everything we needed. I highly recommend this rental & would stay here again."

"The house was great and had everything we needed also was clean upon arrival.
We arrived by boat but the dock was not suitable for docking. The house is situated on an open bay and subject to large surges from big boats passing by.
Our boat was damaged when a piling came loose allowing our boat to smash into the dock.
The dock requires a david to be safely used."

"If your desire is to be in the middle of chaos with the commercial beach crowd, then Tortuga Bay is not for you. If you are seeking a peaceful, perfectly appointed vacation rental for small family or group, Tortuga Bay is the gem you're looking for! Using keycode to enter Tortuga Bay was simple, I found everything to be clean upon arriving and I quickly got settled in. Gorgeous sunsets from the deck and had a perfect view of the full Snow Moon reflecting off the bay from the bedroom window. All furnishings were comfortable and kitchen utensils, appliances and dishware covered all the necessities. Stock up on your grocery items before you head down the peninsula to Fort Morgan area, but if need supplies there are options for shopping nearby. Sunset Properties staff were responsive to any questions I had during my stay. Will absolutely rent from them again!

"Overall we had a great time. Wish the weather was better for fishing but with rhe hurricane one state over that just wasnt the case. The house was clean and as described in the listing. It's a really cute place! Only problems was that we couldn't keep our boat in the boat dock because the Cove the house is located in doesn't have wave breakers and the waters were pretty ruff so the boat would have been damaged if we left it on site in the boat slip. The master bed mattress could definitely be replaced as it's more like a College bed thin mattress than a mattress for 2 grown adults to relax after long days on rough waters but other than that we enjoyed the place and would come again. Property managers were easy to reach and communicated with us through text to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed throughout the stay."

"The house was very clean and larger than it looked. The deck was amazing. Kitchen was large enough and the island made it great for cooking. Needed more pots, pans and baking dishes. I think the rental agency would have brought some, if I asked, they were extremely helpful. Mattress in main bedroom needs to be replaced. We moved the twins in there and they were much better. "

"the company sunset properties was very nice and very accommodating as far as allowing my larger dog to the property. The house was nice, the views were beautiful, seen dolphins from the deck, fished the pier caught lots of little fish.
The house is smaller than it looks in the pictures and the surrounding homes were going through repairs from hurricane sally so rebuilding was going on. Although it says pet friendly the yard was a bit overgrown and while they did come and mow it the burs were a pain when walking the dog. The property is far from lots but very relaxing in the evening. Quiet area. "

"We stayed six nights at Tortuga Bay, and it was a delightful week. We had a quaint cottage style home, tastefully decorated, but the highlight for our grandsons was the dock out back. Each day they fished and had such a great time. After their fishing day, we had dinner on the back porch/deck and were fortunate to have delightful breezes and gorgeous sunsets each evening."

"Wonderful little home, the owners thought of everything. This is a very peaceful little home. Beautiful views and a short walk or drive to beach with parking available. The deck was prefect. Loved watching all the fishing boats go by. I would give it a big 5/5 ,if it had had a king size bed, it would have been a 5+. Great for a couple or couple with one or two small kids. I hope to rental again,and recommend this property for sure."

"The house location was quite and fit our needs. It had a nice view. The house was clean. We liked the deck because it was partially shaded by the roof. Some areas that could be improved upon: more hand towels for the kitchen, more hand towels for the bathroom, the bathroom could use some updating with a new tub and shower. Close location to the Fort Morgan Beach was convenient. Sassy Bass was great for buying fresh shrimp and fish. Overall, the stay was a great experience and we would book at Tortuga Bay in the future. "The house was adorable. Great location. Due to weather we were not able to enjoy the pier but it looked great. Boat slip does look a little narrow for bigger boats but a great addition if you want to bring your boat. Mattress in main bedroom could use an upgrade. But overall it was wonderful."

"I5s a great place to stay. Nice location and house hut the grass is over 2 ft tall in most places around the property. We took our dogs with us for the stay(which it's great they except pets) and there was nowhere for them to go outside that wasnt all tall grass except under the deck. That's my only complaint though. The customer service was top notch. And we'll be staying with them again just Hopefully the grass will start getting more attention at their rentals. "

"Our family’s stay at Tortuga Bay was really enjoyable. My husband loved the peaceful, serene setting. We enjoyed watching the fishing boats go in and out, the cute home, and lovely outdoor seating areas. Our young boys enjoyed a fire pit where we were able to roast marshmallows. It is far out from most activity, but we knew that when we rented. Lovely getaway! We would love to stay here again!"

"This property was set up to provide the setting for a wonderful getaway. A beautiful beach was walking distance away..the nightly sunsets over the bay were visible from the huge porch. The house was clean and had sufficient supplies to make cooking possible ..with lots of pots, pans, utensils and spices. The large island in the kitchen was perfect. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off sand from the beach. A washer/dryer unit was in the unit. Plush towels were provided. The beds were comfortable.

My only critique is the dishwasher ...it is old and decrepit and doesn’t get the dishes clean.

"MHP2 was amazing! My children had a blast, we were able to see dolphins from the back deck in the afternoon. The house had a very open feel with a lot of natural light. There were plenty of dishes, pots/pans provided to make it through our stay.
The only thing I would say to others is watch out for fish hooks, my oldest stepped on one on the back deck. Other than that the house was spotless. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to staying with Sunset again in the future. "

With a nice quiet neighborhood that was a perfect place to walk our small dog, we were able to enjoy each other’s company. "We loved the house and its location. It was very clean and well maintained. The only thing that I would change is the mattress in the master bedroom....if two people are in it, it tends to pull them into the center! Great for snuggling but not great if you need elbow room in the bed :) Otherwise it is a great place to escape to and avoid the hustle and bustle of everyday life! The management team was very good in answering questions and very easy to work with!"

"Our stay at this rental was great!!! The house was cute and the deck and view were amazing. The house was great and the only thing that kept it from being perfect was the loud HVAC unit. It was load when running in the house and outside as well while relaxing on the deck. Other than that the stay was just about perfect (other than it rained a lot but of course that couldn't be helped : ) We have always stayed on the beach side but we will definitely be bay people in the future. Hoping this house will be available when we can make out next trip down to Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan. "

"Our family's first time in this part of the country. We were thinking of finding a place in the Panhandle and stumbled upon this place searching online. It was just perfect! It is such a relaxing, peaceful area and the house/deck/docks/location were amazing! House was situated on the water in which we were able to enjoy beautiful sunsets sitting on the deck or docks below. Stunning views all around. The house was charming and very clean. Spacious kitchen and plenty of counter space to cook and/or entertain. This is a real gem - we will be back! Also - great neighbors who are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. The kids were able to fish right off the dock and we met the resident heron who would sit patiently waiting for his dinner. We learned from the locals his name is Sam :) Just a wonderful vacation!!
