Great condo on the Gulf

"My sister and I rent this condo for a month every winter. We LOVE the location. (so close to the city park, some restaurants are within walking distance). The owner has been doing some updates in the past few years which have been much appreciated. (now all new appliances, new couch this year, etc). Really great place to spend time on the beach in the winter. Thanks"

Fun Get Away

"My sister in law and I had a wonderful stay here! We loved the location, the veiw, and condo! There were a few small very tiny issues with room, but nothing major that we could not enjoy our trip or room. The VIEW was amazing from inside the condo as well as the outside!!! We had an amazing time here and definitely would stay again!! "

"Very nice stay in unit 409. I read a lot of negative reviews on VRBO but I have to say we had no issues! Very polite staff, room had everything we needed. Yes, washer is loud but who cares, start it before you leave room and you won’t be bothered!! Will def book again in future!"

"I was initially nervous about booking this property after reading several negative reviews. We were very pleased with our experience. Yes, the property is older and the furnishings could use some updating, but that didn't bother us. It was clean, location was perfect and views were amazing! We spent most of our time on the balcony looking out at the gorgeous beach. "

"It was great. The condo was really nice. The only thing that I might suggest is something is up with the AC in the condo. It was very humid and hot no matter what the AC was set to. Not sure if some humidifiers are needed or what. Since it was spring break it wasn’t bad, but during the summer months I feel like it would be too humid in that particular condo.

"We stayed at this unit for the Shrimp Festival. The location was perfect! The views were awesome! Only a few comments on things that could have gone better. No linens for the couch/bed until I contacted SP twice, the batteries didn't work right in the remote control for the TV(we had to buy batteries) and the toilets were way too low to the ground for folks with knee issues - updated toilets (standard height toilets would have made a great difference). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. "

"It was a great location! The veiw was absolutely breathtaking inside and out side the room! The rental was clean, only minor issues like light bulbs. The communication with Sunset was amazing, when I called they were extremely nice to work with. We had an amazing time, definitely would stay I'm this room/condo again!!"

"We reserved this place to be within walking distance of the Shrimpfest but then Shrimpfest was cancelled. We went anyway because we enjoy the beach in October. The furniture in this condo needs to be replaced. One of the chairs in the living room had a very large rip in the seat as well as being dirty. We were only allowed one parking pass and had to pay $28.75 for the one, so be prepared for that. We have never stayed anywhere that you have to pay for a parking pass. Someone other than the property management company handled the parking passes and they were not very friendly. Other than that, we enjoyed the location and being right on the beach was a plus. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much."

"We're glad you came even though Shrimpfest was cancelled! The beach is always open! We will pass along your observations to the owner about the furniture. I know the owner is in the process of replacing furniture; however due to supply chains issues that we are all facing, it has also effected the furniture industry. Geeez! As for the parking passes, most all of our properties require passes. Some places allow us to purchase them for the guest and have them waiting in the property, and some associations require the guest who is staying to purchase them upon arrival, which as you can see is Island Winds West. We hate they did not display the southern hospitality that we are known for... Dang it! Please check out our website to view all of our properties. "Loved the location, there was plenty of room, loved the big balcony, loved everything. The only negative to our stay was the air conditioning didn’t seem to be working. We already talked with the owners and they set out right away to get maintenance to fix it. Glad there was ceiling fans and the weather wasn’t hot yet. "

"Overall it was a great time. Very convenient location, helpful, friendly staff. Luckily they added a second bike rack to accommodate all the bikes. The only real negatives were the sleeper couch. ( Not comfortable to sit on to watch TV but after all it was a sleeper couch.) and the kitchen needs appliance updating. Lots of rust starting on them but still worked just fine."
