Edgewater West 64

"This condo is great. We have stayed here three years in a row. Comfy beds, great location, plenty of amenities (nice kitchen and great washer and dryer), ample parking, right on the beach, nice pool, AMAZING AC. Almost nothing but great things to say about it, which is what’s brought us back to this same unit three years in a row. There’s a big but, though. The elevator. Last year, the elevator was down to the point that the fire marshal evacuated everyone above the third floor. Terrible, but we thought surely this is a fluke, and booked again for this year. Lo and behold, the elevator was down for two days, once from a power outage (outage was brief, but took ages for someone to fix elevator), and then once from “scheduled work” - they were doing something to the floor! June seemed like a weird time for that. Needless to say, traipsing up and down the six flights in the heat with your beach gear (and other stuff, as we had to “move in” without the elevator) and a kid in tow was not really a great time. Other people who come often were badmouthing the elevator as well. Again, one year we had no trouble, so it seems to be luck of the draw. The rest of the property is great and we have had many good times here! "

"We had a great stay in Gulf Shores. The property was clean and in a great area, and the unit was spotless and had a wonderful view. We loved staying right on the beach, using the pool, and eating breakfast with an ocean view. "

"The best part of the condo was the wide open view of the beach. It was clean & well furnished. The beds were comfortable (but you might want to take your own pillow unless you like your pillows to be flat). The condo was also convenient to many great restaurants & entertainment spots.
The only things I would change would be to provide more quality pillows & install curtain rods/curtains to be used when the pullout sofa is in use. There’s no sleeping in on vacation for the person using the pullout because of the brightness. Curtains would allow that but could then be opened to allow that gorgeous view during the day. "

"We stayed here for 4 nights. The condo was very nice. We enjoyed the enclosed balcony as I didn’t have to worry about the kids on it and they could watch the waves roll in. My mom loved it as she could watch the kids play in the ocean easily. The beds were nice. Kitchen had why we needed available in it. They were quick to respond to any issue. The only issue we had was that the internet was not working correct. Maintenance was very quick to correct it. Our only complaint would be the pillows were not great, but we can always bring our own! The pool was great and right on the beach. Everyone we ran into at the condo was nice. Close to eating places and stores. We would definitely stay here again.
