"We have owned and rented in the Dunes Fort Morgan for the past seven years. Always happy with our stay! The view from the 602 balcony is stunning. The unit is well stocked, upgraded and comfortable. Sunset Properties and their awesome staff are always available to assist you. We can highly recommend renting through Sunset Properties for the best vacation, or if you are lucky, an escape for your snowbird extended time. "

"My family and I had a wonderful time. The location was just a few minutes from the farry that took us to Dauphin Island and to some hole in the wall convenience stores if you need any extra things. The only downside od th3 Dunes Condos is that the elevators were kinda sketchy, they just needs to be updated. The pool was awesome, everything was to our liking."

"This was our 5th stay at the Dunes, in several different units. We've enjoyed every stay. The view from the balcony of the Gulf is great and never gets old. The walk to the beach is not too far to carry a few items. We enjoy walking around the community in the morning. The pool is nice and we got in it every day. A couple of great restaurants within 3-5 miles. Fort Morgan is relatively quiet and laid back compared to Gulf Shores, and that's why we like it so much - a great getaway."

"Wow! This condo was amazing! It was very clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. It was decorated so cute, it was ocean themed. Our view out the back was the Gulf of Mexico and the pool and out front was Mobile Bay. Very peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Fort Morgan is the place to stay, unless you like the night life and Ocean Beach is were you want to stay. Highly recommend The Dunes for your vacation destination! You won't be disappointed! "

Renters are no longer allowed to bring a dog. This change has affected many snowbirds who have been coming to the Dunes for many years. It's an unfortunate change. "

"I really loved this rental vacation spot. They beach was close and the pool was always clean and not crowded during this COVID time. The one bedroom was great for me and teen grandkids. And I loved it was dog friendly! Having the marina restaurant across the street was a big bonus too. Sat outside having breakfast several times. Totally recommend this place. "

"We absolutely love vacationing in Fort Morgan. We had rented a house in this community before and loved the location. It was just my little family of 3 this time and this condo was perfect! It could have easily slept 3 more. The twin bunks in the hall were perfect for my 16 year old son. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed. I loved having the full size washer and dryer, and the 2 bathrooms were wonderful. We played games at the dining table and enjoyed many hours sitting on the balcony. That view is incredible! It was very clean and exceeded all of our needs. The complex was nice and the carts for unloading and loading were wonderful. It’s just a short walk to the beautiful beach. The community was great for my early morning runs. We loved it there and didn’t want to leave. Thank you for helping us have a fantastic vacation!"

They both seem to be in need of maintenance. They would jump a bit as you step on and you could tell that they are just a bit off. Made me just a tad nervous!"

"It took my breath away. The view was stunning. The condo is well kept and beautifully decorated. The ground are well maintained. The best part is the feels secluded but it's not. It has a great eatery, the Sassy Bass, and a convenience store to pick up ice and any incidentals you may have forgotten. The community is BEAUTIFUL, it made the 2 minute walk to the beach eventful. And with Ft. Morgan's Historical site being a 5 minute drive away, it made a great half day excursion of picture taking and history lesson for the family. We hope to visit again next year."

"It was great. The condo (Dunes 602) was beautiful decorated, great view! It had everything we needed and more. The only disappointment was the pool / hot tub. The hot tub did not work during our entire visit and the pool was so filthy. The swim thru from inside to outside had mold (black) stuff on the curtain hanging down. Good thing we love the beach because the pool was bad and we would not get in it. This does not reflect poorly on the condo it was great! We will be back. We loved the peaceful location wasn't crowded. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway - this is it! "

"We live in the Tampa Florida area and were expecting Hurricane Irma to come through so this was a last minute reservation. We drove 15 hours to Gulf Shores. We arrived at the complex before the 3 pm check-in time and were exhausted. Called the management office and explained our situation and they let us in immediately.
The condo was clean, had an awesome view of the ocean and was very well decorated. We were even allowed to have our small dog, Skipper, with us.
Our thanks to the owner for working with us on such short notice and if we travel to Gulf Shores again we will be calling. Thank you so much."

"Overall we had a pretty good experience. There was still dirty sheets on the foldout bed, nearly empty cookie container on a shelf, and the drawers in the kitchen and the bathroom last were dirty. I emailed about the dirty sheets and was told someone would come fix it but never saw anyone so my son slept on another sheet on top of the couch. This all made me feel nervous about the actual cleanliness of everything else though. We were very excited that we could bring our dog though, which was the main reason we chose this property. The fact that in the checkout process it said to only toss USED towels and sheets in front of washer made me think why not just clean everything in between guests? Do you really know that it wasn't used?

Other than that we really enjoyed the beach and how laid back the area was. Oh and I liked the keyless entry! I liked that we didn't have to worry about keys :)"

"Shannon, we do apologize for the used sheets being left on the sleeper sofa, it was obviously an oversight. We forward our linens issues on to housekeeping and it appears the ball got dropped. We are glad you had an overall good experience here with us though! Housekeeping does remove everything from the units, we were just having issues with mattress covers and bed protectors walking away so that was the reason we added not to remove them from the bed. Yes, the elocks are awesome!! We agree with you and everyone is loving that they don't have to keep up with a key!! We hope you'll come out and see us again!"

My only suggestion is to provide dish soap or dishwasher detergent since you have to wash dry and put up dishes before you leave. "

"This was my families first visit to Gulf Shores and we were lucky to found the Dunes. The condo was beautiful, well kept, well stocked, and had an amazing view! My family and I were able to experience the beach and have a comfortable and affordable place to stay!"

"The property and location met and exceeded our expectations, as it was equipped with everything we could have needed in the kitchen, I mean everything! We ended up buying a can opener and mixer just before arriving to the unit, when we realized we had forgotten to pack them with us, but the unit had it all, so we ended up not using the appliances we bought and brought them back. The unit was clean and well maintained. My only complaint was one of the bunk bed comforters had nicotine smeared around the pillow area, I could smell smoke in the bunk bed area, although the smell was not super strong, I could tell someone had smoked in that area which I did not notice until I was making the beds with the clean sheets left in the bags for each bunk bed. This was not going to ruin my vacation, I just washed both comforters and pillow shams in the washer to feel more comfortable about the kids sleeping in that area. Other than this, everything else was great. By the way, both my kids are teenagers (15 y/o boy) and (14 y/o girl), and they were able to relax and also had a great time. The Fort Morgan historic site is not far at all, and it made an excellent excursion for a couple of hours, great site for pictures as well. I can see ourselves going back when we have another break. Great place to visit and stay!"

"As a disabled veteran, I never know if I can physically travel until the last minute. Sunset Properties did a wonderful job finding us a great property and price. My husband, son, sister and I LOVED the convenience of location in regards to the beach and away from the crowds. The Dunes 602 was stocked with the amenities that we needed for cooking and was beautifully decorated. I would recommend this property to ALL of my friends and family! "

" 602 was a really nice condo. Overall clean except for white dog hair on bedding and sofa. Since this is a pet friendly room and I had my yorkie with me , I didnt complain. But I thought that was what the extra 125.oo pet fee was for. I vacuumed the sofa (with vacuum in condo) but couldnt get all the hair off. The only other thing we had was the master bathtub didnt drain well when using shower. Other than these 2 things our vacation was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again."

In a pet friendly unit we do have to perform extra cleaning, and it appears the housekeeper ran out of the pet sticky tape that we use on the furniture. We have to vacuum and use a specialty tape. I hate we missed going back to the unit to capture the hair when she obtained more tape. We also notified maitenance to fix the drain. Next time you stay with us please do not hesitate to bring any item to our attention, and we will rectify it immediately! "

" The condo size was ideal for my family, it was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen had all types of utensils and dishware. The full size washer/dryer came in handy. The parking lot was very well lit and secure. the check in/check out process went very smooth. The distance to the beach was approx 1 block(we walked to and from) there was showers outside to wash Down. There are beach chairs and umbrellas that you can rent for $30 a day or $120 for the whole week. The pool and hot tub were clean, there was one day where the pool was closed but they opened it no sooner I called. The drive to the nearest store(Dollar General) and gas station was approx 30mins, there are other small grocery stores near by but are very costly. I would definitely stay here again. "

Its a long drive to town so if you have kids who like a lot of activities, this might not be for you. We left the kids at Grandmas house so it wasn't an issue for us. "I would tell everyone that's going to visit the Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan area that they should rent from Sunset Properties. Every time we have stayed with them, it has been wonderful. Dunes 602 condo was great. It was decorated very tastefully and was exactly like the pictures on the website. It was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two boys. It was very clean. The beach was not crowded and just a short walk away. We absolutely love The Dunes community!"

"The condo is in a nice spot - we appreciated being able to pay a pet friendly fee, otherwise, we wouldn't have stayed here. I would suggest a blackout curtain for the bedroom as the room is too bright to sleep in due to outside security lights. Maintenance stopped by to fix some peeling paint in the kitchen - it would have been nice to know this in advance. The laundry room doors were broken and the living room carpet was badly stained but overall this was a wonderful place to stay. It was quiet and had nicely maintained grounds. We will stay here again."

"Our stay was relaxing. The room was nice and the check-in and out was effortless. The pools and hot tub were great. We searched for the dry sauna each afternoon but never found it! I was actually disappointed with the lack of restaurants and activities. I suggest you get everything you need before you go towards this condo! If not, you will be spending an arm and a leg at a little shop close to the condos. "

"This was my second time in Ft. Morgan. The last time, I stayed at the Indies next door. Both the Indies and The Dunes are great condo buildings. Not too big, but large enough for great views. Dunes 602 was an excellent choice for me and my friend. It was clean with only a, little wear showing in the kitchen. It's decorated well and is very comfortable. Beach access is easy, and Ft. Morgan is so friendly still that you can set your gear up on the beach the first day and leave it there until you leave. As we were headed West, we stopped by the Fort on the way home, which was awesome and then we took the ferry to Dauphin Island and totally skipped the traffic out of Orange Beach and Mobile. But, fair warning, the ferry requires some good timing and a little wait and sunscreen. Still it was a pleasant way to travel. Excellent trip and would definitely stay again. "

"We had a great time. Seen lots of Dolphin's.
We went over to Dolphin Island and spent the day.
There are lots of shells there.
The Dunes has less people then Gulf Shores. We like the quiet.
The condo had everything we needed.
The only thing i wish they wouldn't let people smoke on the balcony of their condos. The smell of their cigarette comes in our condo.
It would be nice if the Dunes was totally smoke free."

"First time to stay at a condo at the beach! Condo was everything it said it would be. Could watch schools of dolphins, the beach from the condo patio and then had a nice walk to the beach. "The condo was nice and we enjoyed our stay for the most part. However, maintenance was being performed on outside of the Dunes property the entire week we were there. The boom they used made a loud beeping noise from about 7-8am until 5-6pm every day. To top it off, someone was laying tile on our floor and cut the tiles in the hallway by the elevators. The noise was just awful. I think they could have done outside maintenance during the off peak season. It just didn't make sense to do it during a busy Spring Break week."

"Wound up being a member of a wedding party that moved from one location to Ft. Morgan on pretty short notice. Staying at the Dunes was a very pleasant experience - especially under the conditions. We did not need any more stress and the Dunes was perfect. Ft. Morgan is somewhat isolated from the rest of the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach/Florida panhandle area, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. If you want beach and quiet - Ft. Morgan is for you."
