"We enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was clean and laid out well. The location is close to the end of Fort Morgan, so the beach isn’t too crowded. There are a few things guests should know:
- These items are not provided: starter supply of shampoo and conditioner, hair dryer, and hand soap in the kitchen. You’ll have to bring your own. That was disappointing, as these items are expected in vacation properties.
- a very large house is being built between the condo and the beach. It blocks a lot of the ocean view and is very noisy during the days- even Saturdays and Sundays.
- Both a regular and Keurig coffee maker are provided. There were a few filters but no other coffee items that we saw.
- the property management company did not respond to our inquiry about the property after booking. They did check on us via text after our arrival.
We would still highly recommend this condo, we just wish we’d been aware of the above prior to our stay. "

"Staying in the Fort Morgan area is quiet and lovely. Everything needed for your comfort was available. The kitchen was well appointed with very nice decor, cookware and utensils. The bed was very comfy. The bunk beds a little hard according to my guests. I, personally would have appreciated a recliner or a more comfortable couch but everything else was great. "

"We loved the apartment ! Everything was clean and in good shape. The AC worked well and we loved having a ceiling fan in every room. Our kids (10&4) loved the bunks in the hall. They were really comfy I had to lay with my youngest and was shocked at how comfortable the bed was lol.
Nice king size mattress in the master with lots of pillows. The fridge, stove, washer and dryer were all in good shape and worked well.
I do wish we had gotten a wagon for the walk to the beach with all the extras our kids wanted to take. The pool was really nice. We also loved how family friendly the building was with quiet hours no loud music ect.
We will check to see if this unit is available for future vacations.
The rental company was very attentive and checked that all was well. The building was nice. It was undergoing some construction/repair but we didn’t even notice and we slept in late most mornings. "

"Our stay at The Dunes was wonderful. Super family friendly environment. The condo was very clean and felt like we were right at home. The beach was clean and not over crowded. The location was secluded from the hustle and bustle of tourist traffic which was nice, but still close enough to drive into town for dinner. Communication with the property manager was wonderful. We will definitely be back for our next beach vacation! "

"The rental was great. It was spacious and clean. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. There are zero supplies, so be sure to read the description and plan ahead for things like to, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags, etc. Also, the elevators in the building are kinda hanky, so be prepared to bounce around a lot."

"Adorable , comfortable, updated condo with a spectacular view of the ocean and overlooking the pool. The kitchen has all your needs for cooking and serving. Just minutes to tour Fort Morgan and a ride on the Ferry to Dauphin Island. I do suggest Sassy Bass for a dinner out. The management company, Sunset Properties, has superior customer service, they will be in contact with you before your stay, during, and when you leave. I will now only look for this management company to book my stays. I will also rent unit 307 in the future. "

"This room was super clean and beautiful! The location was perfect, we couldn’t have asked for a better trip! We enjoyed the Tacky Jacks 2 that is located across the street which was convenient for us. This was my daughters 13th birthday beach trip and it was nice that the condo had board games for them to play at night. The pool and hot tub was very nice and the overall cleanliness of the building was great! We can’t wait to visit again!"

"The experience was very nice. The condo was in nice shape. Great view from the balcony, and also a very reasonable walk to the beach. The only issue that was experienced was the condo directly below us had a smoke detector with a dying battery causing it to beep constantly. Since this condo was privately owned, the building had no access to the condo, so we had to put up with the beeping for 2 or 3 days before the building was eventually able to get in contact with the owner. "

"This was a nice place to stay, very close to the beach. Be sure you bring all things you need with you, or plan to stop at a store in town before you drive out to the condos. "Overall, we loved this place! It overlooked the pool, and we never heard any pool noise. The location is great, close to a few restaurants but far enough away from all the tourists. The only suggestion I would make to the owners, is to invest in some blackout curtains for the master bedroom!!!!! The walkway light is directly outside the window, and it lights up the bedroom all night long. We finally had to rig up the comforter and towels as a curtain. "

"We have stayed at several of the Dunes condos over the year and we have never been disappointed. Always a wonderful experience! Only problem I had with this particular condo is something I have never seen at another..the bathtub was cracked and there was masking tape over it....that was all that threw me off and it was COMPLETELY out of the norm."

"We have stayed in many condos over the years in GS and OB, we really enjoyed being away from everything and still being able to enjoy the view of the only complaint there were no extra trash bags or dish washing liquid just the small things that you wouldn't remember from home."

"Dunes bldg and location fantastic. My only problem was u was not told dunes pool was under renovation this was big disappointment and I felt this should have been disclosed. My view from the condo was great. Condo was clean, however way in need of update. Small uncomfortable couch and worn out chair was only sitting options to watch tv. Rv in both main room and bedroom was great. Carpet was worn and had many stains on it. Becasue I love fort morgan so much and am a frequent visitor, these issues weren't that big a deal to me, however if this had been my onky experience with a rental in Fort morgan, I would be highly unlikely to ever rent in the dunes again because of how outdated condo is. "

"This is our 2nd year coming back to this unit. Love that it is away from all the 'tourist' attractions. We went over to Fort Morgan this year, enjoyed that. Found the Sassy Bass Grill on Fort Morgan road...a must do!! Also on highway 180 west the Beach House restaurant is a must. This condo is a 20 minute drive out, but OH SO WORTH IT!!!"

"We loved our stay at Sunset Properties. The condos are one of the last ones on Fort Morgan. While we were there we were shocked by how quiet it was. You are definitely away from the hustle and bustle of the main strip. Everyone working there was very polite and helpful. Will definitely be staying there again."

"We went here for a quick summer getaway and are so glad we did. The location was perfect if you don't like to be right in the middle of everything and busy traffic Fort Morgan is perfect. I do recommend getting groceries when you first arrive because it is a little out of the way. There are a couple local places to eat, we just ate out once and cooked the rest of the time. We spent our time relaxing on the beach and in the pools. The staff at Sunset Properties was laid back and easy to work with. The condo was clean and had some minor wear and tear, but we felt like it was great for the price. We will be using them again for sure. "

"Great family vacation. We like being off the beaten path and don't mind the drive to Highway 59. We had no issues with the condo except the master bed. The mattress is very hard. If you like a firm mattress then this is the condo for you. We do not prefer a hard mattress and did not sleep well. The comforter is old and worn as well. Definitely time for an upgrade. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. "

"Condo was very nice and perfect for a small family. Although you can NOT see or hear the waves from your balcony you can see the beautiful view of the gulf, but it is a ways away. The walk to the beach was longer than expecting and golf cart trollies were not seen our entire trip. Kids loved the bunk beds, but they did not have railings that would prevent a fall onto the tile floor underneath. Master bed was very hard. Kids loved the swim through outdoor/indoor pool! Overall it was affordable and nice. "

"My husband and I decided last minute to make a quick trip to the gulf shores area and were luck enough that there was space available here. I was nervous about the conditions when we booked because it was so last minute and over memorial day I was afraid that would mean a not very nice place. I was very happy when we arrived. We had a beautiful view from our balcony of the gulf and our condo was clean and beautiful. Be prepard to not have cell phone service because you are out very far. This is a perfect place for a family, it is so quiet! Don't stay here if you are wanting to go to bars and party all night, but stay here if you want a family friendly secluded place to stay! Loved it!"

Sunset Properties was a delight to work with. From my first phone call to my last interaction, they were professional, helpful and a delight to speak with. I was very impressed with the way they provided info prior to my stay regarding the property and other useful info about my upcoming stay. "This was our family's 3rd visit to Ft. Morgan. We have stayed at The Dunes twice, and the Indies once. We weren't overly impressed with this unit, but it wasn't horrible, or enough to put a damper on our vacation. For starters...while making one of the bunk beds in the hallway, we found a pair of dirty socks behind the mattress. (I should mention there was only one set of sheets for the bunk beds, and none for the sleeper sofa.) The DVD player didn't work, so the movies that we rented from Red Box had to be returned unwatched. (We couldn't get the dvd to open to get the movie in. My husband tried numerous times to no avail.) I understand that the units are owned by individuals, but I wanted to mention that the king bed in the bedroom is horrible! Haha. Maybe that info could be passed along. ;) Like I said...these aren't things that ruined, or even put a damper on, our vacation. Just some things we were a little disappointed with. We will be back...just not to that unit, I'm sure. Thanks so much!"

"Stayed with my family for the Memorial Day weekend. The weekend was great - had a great time. The only complaint that I had was that the cleaning staff did not do a great job from the previous guests. We checked in late and found that the floors were sticky when we walked in the door and a styrofoam plate was found underneath the end table from a previous occupant. Other than these two things, our stay was enjoyable - would definitely stay here again. I just chalked the sticky floors up to a rush job to get the condo cleaned in time for our arrival."
