"This is the second time we have stayed at the Awbrey House, and it fits our needs perfectly. From location, beach accessibility and the pool (grandkids favorite) we couldn't have asked for anything better. The kitchen could use some smaller spoons and baking pans (minor things). "Our tribe just finished spending a wonderful week at Awbrey House in Gulf Shores! I was thankful for the great directions/details that were provided in advance. We had a question about the pool and also a question about one of the TVs during our stay. Both times, Sunset Properties responded immediately and answered our questions.

The pictures really didn't do the property justice. It was actually even nicer than expected! The location was perfect- easy walk to the beach. We were a little worried about the public beach access right next to the house, but it was absolutely no problem. We had plenty of room and never felt crowded on the beach... even over the 4th of July!

I always bring my own kitchen items... but one suggestion would be to upgrade the knife set. It was pretty terrible. I would also suggest adding some family style size serving dishes in the kitchen and more prep/mixing bowls. We found a vacuum on the second floor, but a second vacuum on the main floor would be handy.

Bonus: the grandkids appreciated the beach items that we found in the outside closet!"

"The code they gave us to get in didn't work but they immediately gave us another one. The only thing was the dishwasher didn't work and there was no dish soap supplied. But we had an awesome time and the house was in the perfect location."

"Working with Sunset properties was a great experience. I received communication timely, and they responded to me immediately. I received a text with door code, wifi passwords, etc. the day before our arrival, so I didn't need to ask. The big deck, easy walk to the water, and easy location to town (restaurants) were absolutely ideal. There were a couple of very minor issues with ruined skillets (people, please don't use forks with nonstick skillets - even if they aren't yours!) but was assured they would be replaced immediately. The upstairs guest shower was slow, and the kitchen sink was grimy. None of this ruined our trip - or even slowed us down. Thanks for a great experience."

"We had an absolute blast in Gulf Shores! Being right on the beach was so perfect!! Our only complaint was that the house was dated. The door to the back deck was very difficult to open, especially being that the first person to open the door was my 7 year old and the handle fell right off. This was the main door we used being that it went right out to the beach. If they replaced the back door I would have no complaints!! We did purchase a couple of skillets and left at the home as we cooked every night and the pots/pans situation was very limited! We had awesome neighbors that also loaned us some of their cookware! Overall though we were very satisfied with our stay and would love to go back tomorrow! ��"

"Overall, this was one of the best beach vacation properties that we have rented. Upstairs bath and shower were a little slow to drain but that was minor. It met our needs and expectations. A little lacking on kitchen supplies (could use a larger frying pan). But again, this did not diminish the experience in any way. Based on the number in our party it was the perfect size and location. Property management was very accessible through both e-mail, phone and text. It is definitely a property we will consider during our next visit to Gulf Shores."

"Needs some attention. The dish washer door was hard to lock in operational mode and the door made a loud noise when opening and closing. The ice maker in the frezer did not work and the small ice maker was not clean. The fan in the master was broken, as were the chairs on the master balcony. This was our second stay and the dish washer was the same last stay. We like the location."

"We had a great time in Gulf Shores AL staying in this rental house. This is actually our second stay in this house. The house is right on the beach, you just have to walk over the dunes. I love to just sit on the back porch watching the water and all the active on the beach. We also set up on the beach and it's easy to come back and eat. It is so convenient. The house was clean and everything worked. The rental was in good shape. If it rained we stayed in and played games we brought. The kitchen table seats 6 or 7 (bench seat). The pool is also a nice bonus when you are tired of the sand and saltwater. I would definitely stay here again. "
