(Ft. Morgan) We have thought that a lot of this is the national news hoopla and to get the real news you have to go to the real people, the people that live on the Coast. Thank you for your updates. We must admit we are somewhat nervous that the Tide will turn, no pun intend and ruin everything. We, my wife and I are Alabamians and are looking forward to our vacation on the Alabama Coast. (Ft. She said the beach was beautiful and the water looked good Friday in the early evening. Then she called later Friday to tell us that they are restricting anyone to enter the Gulf water. I told her it was only for their protection but to enjoy everything else in the Dune Community. We were not shocked to hear this news but sadden that the place we call our second home has also been engulfed by the same oil that is affecting the communities in our first home in Louisiana. I am sadden to hear that the oil has reached the beautiful areas of Gulf Shores and I am praying that it does not get as bad as it is in some areas of Louisiana. We are still planning to come down as often as possible and enjoy getting away to enjoy the sun, sand, nature walks and beautiful pool at the Indies. Beach/water etc are great as usual. However it was apparent that many of the Indies and Dunes units were not rented the parking lot was may be 25% full. We have not had anyone use our unit in weeks and lost a potential sale 2 weeks aqgo when a buyer elected to hold off until after the oil is cleaned up. We filed a claim with BP this week. Maybe they will make the mortgage payment but we will not be holding our breath. Our agent sad that BP is telling the same lies that Exxon used with the Exxon Valdez spill.
