Spring Break is here in full force!!! The kiddos are playing in the pools and college students are lounging on the beach. Everyone is enjoying the much anticipated sun and warm weather this year!!!
We see all sorts of interesting things at the beach, but one of the most entertaining sights are the hair styles people wear at the beach. We wanted to give you a couple hints to protect your hair or lack there of while you are on soaking up the sun. We also wanted to give you some easy and silly hair styles for your vacation.
Hints: If you are a member of the follically challenged, you know, things are getting a little thin on top, or you have some little guys who just haven’t grown into their locks yet. This first hint is for you!!!
1. Wear a hat, or at least some sunscreen, and don’t forget the part in your hair. Sunburns on your scalp are espically painful, and you never want to let a baby get burned! Cover your little ones every couple of hours and keep them in the shade as much as possible.

2. Protect your hair! Wetting your hair with fresh water before you go in the pool or even in the ocean is always a good plan. Your hair will soak up the fresh water and not hold onto the chlorine or salt water which can be damaging.
3. Keep it simple!!! You are at the beach, everyone around you is at the beach with you!!! They have salty wind blown hair just like you. Don’t stress! A braid or or pony tail is a great way to keep your hair out of your face and in good condition. Or wear it down if your hair is straight to moderately wavy. After you swim your hair will naturally dry in a beautiful tosseled, wavy look. With the little bit of sun you are sure to get everyone will mistake you for a surfer girl, just here enjoying the waves!!!
You could always go for something a little more complicated, and there are people who can help you create these hair styles not far away. You could always go for the Bo Derek corn rows and braids, with beads or puca shells at the end. Hours of pain, and some expense involved, but your hair will absolutely make a splash!

You could go for dread locks like Bob Marley, but this involves a real commitment. We are talking about months of preparation and growth and this style is not something you can brush out kids, you have to shave it off!!!

The most important thing about beach hair is make it fun and easy, you are at the beach relax and enjoy yourself.
